Today was a very good day, I got tested. I mean at first I was extremely nervous, I guess you can say that I am kind of a hypochondriac (hope I spelled tha right). But either way i was nervous. My best friend asked me why i would want to know news like that on Valentine's Day, i mean i don't really have an answer to that. I just knew that today was the day. There are millions and millions of people who are laying down with other people tonite, some who are infected and some who are not....some who are aware and some who are not. But either way i decided that I would not be one of the ones who was not aware any more.
Now some people would say, why would u even have a reason to be tested.... and my answer to that is, we all make mistakes, and some mistakes are deadly. Instead of asking why I had the need to be tested you should be asking yourself why not get tested? Whether u have had unprotected sex or not there are still risks. Risks that are higher when u drink or do drugs, or when u act without thinking. I can garantee you that more than half of the people who are infected thought that they were not or that they had no reason to be tested. Even if you are abstinent get tested so that when you do become sexually active you will already be used to the process.
Ignorance is only BLISS to a fool .... so be in The Know (I know cheesy but TRUE)

Goodmorning! (even though its night )
Well I guess I will start by introducing myself. My name is Arika Moody, (hence the title of my blog), I am 19 and I attend Syracuse University. My birthday is March 14th which makes me a lovely, dreamy, steamy PISCES, ( I am like obssessed with horoscopes and astrology lol...it guides my life). Other things I live are Pharrell, music, and television, as well as reading and daydreaming. I love to be me, I mean seriously, I also like to be a jerk, a lot of the time. well other people consider it being i jerk I consider it honest. I mean my opinion is my opinion, I hate for people to just try to shape my opinion. For instance, I have grown to HATE beyonce, I mean in my opinion she is doing too much, and by that I mean tooo much of nothing..... she is doing stupid stuff, like making whack ass videos for every song on her album... the chick needs a life outside of fuckin music, and she needs to just stay there for a while. Her music is losing its specialness (okay maybe i just made up a word, but...my world my way).
But anyway forget that nonsense....I love to hear about gossip, i mean its the greatest thing ever. How would we know what mistakes not to make if we never heard about other peoples? I know it makes sense to you too, I think the dumbest people are the ones that dont learn from other peoples mistakes as well as their own. I am definitely someone who has learned from almost every mistake anyone i have ever known has made, and that is how i stay out of other peoples' mouths.... life is a lot more simpler when you can do that.
Back to me, I was born and raised in Philadelphia, so im kinda ghetto but kinda prissy too, in fact my aunt still till this day calls me Miss Priss. I guess they always thought that I was better than them, but that was never the case at all. I was just shy beyond belief, and never wanted the attention of all those weird men that i definitely found out existed. But either way my introvertedness was well warranted.
My childhood was okay, but as usual there were definitely some things that have made me who I am today. I'll list them for ya (more 4 me though)

- Choosing to stay with my uncle instead of going to live wit my mom in NC
- Deciding to go to NC
- Being put into Foster Care
- Returning home to my mother
- Deciding to go to girard (boarding school)
- Meeting my best friends
- Relationship with Ray
- Leaving Ray
- Going to College
- Guys Period.....Uhh the never ending story
Some of these things I have never shared and each day i think about some of them, but i know that if anything would have happened differently I WOULD NOT BE WHO I AM.
People often ask me how I know so much... It is because i am an observer, not all of those who are silent are lost and not all of those who speak are in the know... soo watch before you participate and you are sure to become a pro.....
on that note this is me letting the sun set on knowledge.....
